  Serella and her family's home was on a big hill, their farm was next to Matthews. She and Levi were kind and gentle people, always had time for kids. Their children were gone from home by then. Uncle Levi was a kisser, had to hug and kiss everyone he met. The kids would laugh and say, "here comes Uncle Levi, might as well get it over with". There was a big pasture in front of their house where their stock was kept, lightning struck some trees and killed three of their work horses.
