David M. wrote two letters to his nephew, Henry Maben Ouzts in the Indian Territory (Oklahoma) in 1901 and 1902 detailing the whereabouts of Henry's brother James and sister Lucretia (Loue), the deaths David and Mary, his parents, and his sisters Edna and [Martha] Elva.
David related that in 1902, he had three sons, William John Calvin, David Alvin and Levi, and had lost to death, a little son [?] and a little daughter [Larra].
Apparently his first wife, Dicie died and he married Mary Jane JUSTICE Avery in 1907. The marriage was the second for both, Mary had three children at the time. Together they had a son George Milton.
