Henry E. Ouzts, 72, died Saturday morning, February 20, 2016, at Hospice Brazos Valley In-Patient Facility in Bryan. Henry was born January 15, 1944 in Transylvania LA to Henry Ernest and Marguriete Rhodes Ouzts, Sr. He grew up in Lake Providence LA and graduated in 1961 from Lake Providence High School. Henry continued his education and graduated in 1965 from Louisiana Tech. Following a career with the Department of Defense, during which he taught school on military basis in the Philippines, Okinawa and Germany, he returned to the States and lived out his retirement in Roans Prairie. Henry enjoyed gardening and taking care of pets. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Ouzts and a sister, Peggy Nan Francis. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Overby of Roans Prairie, 7 nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
