  John Antney Timmerman is in the John Calvin Ouzts Line of the family of Elizabeth HARLING and George Peter Utz (now Ouzts) of Hoffenheim Germany and the Edgefield District SC. He descends from Frederick Wilhelm Zimmerman (now Timmerman) of Thurgen, Dussenhaffen Evangelish, Switzerland.
  He married Martha A. (Mattie) DAY, daughter of Cynthia Adeline BARTON and Henry Luther Day, Jr., in 1876 Edgefield County SC. They had eight children: Cynthia Ellen, James Alvin (Alvey), Clarence Simpson, Effie Lee, John Alvin, Fred Lockhart, Nettie E. and Joseph L. (Joe).
  Although the grave marker for John Antney Timmerman reads that he was born on July 3, 1856, that date does not agree with other family records that record his birth as March 3, 1853. His brother, Norris Bluford Timmerman, is also buried here and his date of birth is April 7, 1956. Both can not have been born in 1856 and allrecords indicate that John is three years older than Norris.
