Edgefield SC, Aug. 7 - Mrs. Emma Wyatt Ouzts, 84, widow of D. A. G. Ouzts of Greenwood, died at her home in Waxahachie TX, early this morning after several years of declining health. Mrs. Ouzts was the third wife of Mr. Ouzts, lawyer and state senator from Greenwood, and after marriage in 1939, they made their home in Waxahatchie where he died in 1946. Mrs. Ouzts was active in business and church affairs and served on the board of Stewards of the First Methodist Church of Waxahatchie. She frequently returned to South Carolina for reunions of the Ouzts family association which her husband had organized. Her parents were from Greenville and Spartanburg counties. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frances Lowman, with whom she lived at 619 North Roger St., Waxahatchie; one son, James M. Cumley of Dallas, senior vice president of Republic Bank; two grandchildren; and two sisters and one brother. Funeral in Waxahatchie.
