John C. Ouzts, passed away in Miami April 29, 2009. He was born September 10, 1919. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years Eula Blank Ouzts and his parents Grover C. Ouzts and Alma Castleberry of Cairo GA. Mr. Ouzts served in the U. S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He moved to Miami in 1945 where he worked as a carpenter. He became a member of the carpenter's union in 1946. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and was Past Master of West Broward Masonic Lodge 253. Survivors include a niece, Mary Margaret Thomas of Miami and two nephews, Charles and Melvin Blank, both of Tallahassee. Graveside at Oakland Cemetery in Tallahassee.
