Entered the CSA Army on Jul 13, 1861 at Hartwell, Hart, GA, with his two brothers and served in Company C, 16th Northern Georgia Volunteer Infantry Army of Northern Virginia CSA, the "Hartwell Infantry" with rank of Private.
Died of a fever at Suffolk, Virginia prior to August 5, 1862, and his body was carried to Hartwell, Hart County GA for interment.
