Note: Birth: 1801 Maryland, USA Death: unknown West Virginia, USA It is believed that Anthony Logsdon is buried with his wife Sarah a t F irst Street Cemetery. Their headstones are long gone but there use d t o be a whole row of Logsdon headstones there. Per Anthony and Sara h' s grandson, Charles, his first cousin, George and wife Indianola "N ola " Logsdon who lived near the cemetery, attended to the graves. Anthony is probably the son of Joseph Logsdon (b.1780, Frederick Co . , MD; died before 1820. Joseph is the son of William Logsdon and hi s 2 nd wife, Catherine Durbin Ogg). His uncle, Lawrence Logsdon (b. c. 1800 ), married his wife's sister, Malinda Porter. Anthony's grandfather William was married 3 times: --FIRST to Miss Wedling. To this union was born one child, James Am o n Logsdon (Anthony's Uncle). --SECOND to Catherine Durbin Ogg. William and Catherine had Bennett ( b . c.1778; married Abigail Lewis), Joseph (b. c.1820, Anthony's fathe r) , and Catherine (b. 1783). --THIRD to Susanna Williams who had Lawrence Logsdon (b. c.1800) pl u s other children. Anthony was very close to Uncle Bennett Logsdon (brother of his fath e r Joseph) and his wife Abigail. They moved together from Allegany Co . , MD to Western Virginia by the 1820s. After Abigail died in 1842, U nc le Bennett moved in with nephew Anthony and family.
