 William V. Spalding was born in Monroe County, Ohio, Sept 26 1859 and died Dec 21st 1896, aged 37 years, 2 months and 24 days. He came to Illinois with parents in 1854 [should be 1867] He went to Concordia, Ks in 1884 and was married to Myrtle M. Hall, Dec 17th, 1885. He joined the M.E. church in 1892. Came back to Illinois in 1895. He was residing at the home of his father, G.W. Spalding, near Cisne, at the time of his death.
