MRS. KING, 95, PASSES AWAY
Services Wednesday At Vandivier Parlors; Died Monday
Mrs. Caroline Vandivier King, age 95, widow of William King, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. N. R. Vandivier, 1094 North Walnut street, She had been in failing health for the past six months and seriously ill for about three months.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Vandivier funeral home. Burial will be made in the First Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday morning, and are invited to attend the services.
Mrs. King was born July 6, 1850 in Franklin township in the First Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, the daughter of John and Rachael McCawley Vandivier.
On June 19, 1878 she was united in marriage to William King, who died in November, 1908. Mrs. King spent her entire married life in Franklin and continued to live here after her husband s death. She was a member of the Tabernacle Christian church.
Mr. and Mrs. King did not have any children. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Van Piercy, of west of Franklin; a brother, C. A. Vandivier, of and a number of nieces and nephews.

King Funeral Is Held Wednesday
Final rites were conducted for Mrs. Caroline Vandivier King at the Vandivier funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. James T. Lawson, of the Tabernacle Christian church, in charge. Interment was made in the First Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
The casket was carried by Albert Vandivier, Clarence Merrick, Guy Sedam, Byron Vandivier, Ralph Johnson and William Oliver.
Mrs. King, who was 95 years of age, died at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. N. R. Vandivier, 1094 North Walnut street, Monday at 9:40 a.m. following a long illness. She was the widow of William King.
