  Oscar E. Beeman, 81, Dies at North Vernon
  Oscar E. Beeman, 81, a retired farmer who was well known here died Sunday morning at his home, 77 Norris Avenue, North Vernon, after an illness of several years duration. Mr. Beeman had been critically ill for six weeks preceding his death.
  Mr. Beeman and his wife, the former Miss Grace Holsclaw, celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary last December.
  Survivors include the widow; three sons, Wilbur E. Beeman, Jennings county recorder, at home, Clyde Beeman, of North Vernon, and Homer E. Beeman, of Indianapolis; and two daughters, Miss Florence Beeman, at home, and Mrs. Helen Jones, of North Vernon, formerly of this city.
  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Jordan Funeral Home, in Vernon, with the Rev. W. H. Dillard, pastor of the First Baptist Church at North Vernon, in charge.
