Note: The Hinton News Hinton, West Virginia Tuesday, April 21, 1987 Page 3 BUCKLAND Dewey W. Buckland, 84, died Tuesday, April 14, at 8:40 p.m. at a Hinton hospital following a long illness. Born August 2, 1902, in Summers County, he was the son of the late Richard P. and Eliza Cox Buckland. Mr. Buckland lived most of his life at Powleys Creek and was a farmer and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Ethel Colaneri and Ruby Buckland. Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Lusk Buckland; three sons, Ernest Buckland of Marie, Calvin Buckland of Timberville, Va., and Cecil Buckland of Williamsburg, Va,; a daughter, Mary McCallister, Bridgeton, N.J.; eight grandchildren and three great - grandchildren. Services were held Friday April 17, 2 p.m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with the Rev. Carl Edward officiating. Burial followed in the Valley View Cemetery at Powleys Creek.
