Note: The Washington Democrat Washington, Indiana Tuesday, May 31, 1949 Page 1, Column 2 RITES TODAY FOR ELIZABETH PARIS Elnora, Ind., May 31 - Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 p.m. for the late Elizabeth Ann Paris, who passed away Sunday at 4 p.m. of a heart ailment. She had been ill two years and critically ill about a month. Mrs. Paris died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Cornelius, on Washington R.R. 3. She was 74 years old. She was born March 11, 1875 in Martin Co., the daughter of John and Susannah Spaulding Harris. She first married Frank Banks in 1902 and to this union the following children were born: Mrs Goldie Cornelius, Washington, Mrs. Mannie Long, Elnora and Mrs. Minnie Smith, Bicknell. Mr. Banks preceded her in death several years ago and she then married Theodore Paris. Mrs. Paris also leaves these brothers and sisters: Phillip Harris, Bedford; Marion Harris, Odon; Newton Harris, Elnora; Henry Harris and Mrs. Hannah Taylor, both of Dexter, Mo. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. E. A. McBride assisted by the Rev. John Bolin in charge.
