a. Note:   NOT the daughter of William & Hannah CUPIT of South Wingfield. That Mary, baptised in 1817 is still in South Wingfield unmarried in 1841. NOT the daughter of John & Elizabeth CUPIT(nee LITTLE?) of South Wingfield. That Mary baptised 1814 (whose parents died in 1826 & 1827) is with her sister, Sarah, on the 1841 census and a family called BRENTNALL.
  NOTE: Mary marries at Pinxton. The ONLY CUPIT at Pinxton at that time is Ann CUPIT who marries Henry TAGG of Alfreton on 06 Dec 1835 at Pinxton. Ann is buried at All Saints Ripley on 05 Nov 1840 age 30. (She - Ann - COULD be the daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth below).
  NOT the Mary(1808) daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth CUPIT who is still at home with her parents in Alfreton in 1841. Mary Marries John WRAGG in Alfreton in 1844.
