Note: The Bendigo Advertiser of 10 Nov 1904 reported - MATRIMONIAL. On Tuesday an interesting wedding took place at "Woodlands" Knowsley when Mr. W. Lethlean, youngest son of Mr. J. Lethlean of Tandarra was united to Miss M. Evans, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Richard Evans. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. W. Shaw of Bendigo. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr. R. Evans, of Echuca was prettily attired in a costume of electric grey silk voile, elaborately trimmed with Paris lace and ivory silk, with applique, and long streamers to match. The bridesmaids were Miss Mabel Matthews, cousin of the bride, who was attired in reseda green voile, nicely trimmed with Paris lace, and Miss M. Lethlean, sister of the bridegroom. The costume worn by Miss Lethlean was rucked cream silk voile, elaborately trimmed with Paris lace and applique with white satin ribbon and black streamers. The bride's mother was becomingly attired in a costume of black silk voile. Mr. J. Evans acted as best man. The wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of the bride's mother, ''Woodlands," was attended by a large number of the friends of the happy couple. The Rev W Shaw presided, and the usual toasts incidental to the occasion were honored. By the midday train the happv couple left Knowsley en route to Adelaide where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride was the recipient of numerous and costly presents. The 1963 Electoral Roll registers at 41 Grandview Ave, Pascoe Vale, Mary Lethlean, home duties, and (son) Arthur Ronald, clerk. On the 1977 Roll they were at 6/17 Newlyn St, Caulfield.
