Notes
a. Note:   N19 Ida, also known as Lee, was born in Ohio and came to Oregon as a child. Ida attended business college and worked for the Goodyear dealer in Eugene, Oregon. Later she became a secretary for a Eugene attorney and during the war was employed by the employment service, where she headed the clerical division. In 1946, she and her husband Lloyd and baby, Susan, moved to North Bend where Lloyd operated a farm equipment store. In 1948 they moved to Newport and Lloyd opened up a Western Auto store, which she helped to operate. At that time Ida was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, civic sorority, and was elected recording secretary for the Young Republicans. Ida and Lloyd moved to the Albany area for a short time and then moved again to Grants Pass where she and her husband had a roadside cafe. She lived in Salem and worked for the Blue Lake Packing Company in the office. After her divorce she moved to Henderson, Nevada and then to Santa Paula, California where she worked for Union 76 Oil Company as a telephone switchboard operator. She studied and trained and was able to work in the drafting department of the company, drawing maps for the oil company. In 1958 she moved to Ventura which was only 10 miles from Santa Paula. Ida, or Lee as she was called then, had many friends and was much beloved by many people who were saddened by her early death due to cancer.
