 Simona Forrester
 Simona Forrester, born in St. Helena in 1881 and member of a pioneer Spanish family, died Tuesday night at the age of 87. She had been ill two years. Her great-great grandfather received a Spanish land grant to the Carillo ranch.
 Mrs. Forrester, who spoke Italian, Spanish and Portuguese fluently, attended the old Central School in Napa, and John L. Shearer, from whom Shearer School was named, was one of her teachers.
 She was the widow of Charles Forrester, whom she married in 1898. Survivors include eight children, Mrs. Elizabeth McGall, Mrs. Belle Segoria, Mrs. Allyce Borges, Charles, James and Malcom Forrester, all of Napa, John Paul Forrester of Orland, and Thomas Edward Forrester of Sacramento.
 She was the sister of Mrs. Mary Rodriques of Sacramento and Mrs. Dorothy Locketti of Napa. Twenty grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren also survive.
 The Rev. Erwin Bollinger will conduct funeral services Friday at 2 p.m. at the Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the family plot in Yountville Cemetery.
