NY (in the household of a family named Bruce from England) Mary W. Peck left a will (1887 - 417), recorded in Monroe Co., NY Will Book 8, p. 431. Mary W. Jewett and Thomas S. Dean, of Brockport, Monroe Co., NY, signed an affidavit that, as exectors of the estate of Mary W. Peck, they received payment of a legacy of $119.47 from the estate of Elihu L. Phillips who died in 1884 in Fond du Lac Co., Wisconsin. By the terms of the will and context of his probate record, Mary W. Peck must have been a neice of Elihu L. Phillips. The affidavit states that Mary W. Peck, of Clarkson, died 7 oct. 1886, that she left a will, and letters of administration were granted 31 Jan. 1887. I am not sure if Lewis and Mary (Washburn) Peck had any children. Her will would help show if she did, or if she left anything to other relatives. Mary W. Jewett, administrator of Mary W. Peck's estate, is probably the same living in Clarkson, Monroe Co., NY in 1880: Mary Jewett, 43, b. NY (fath. b. Conn; moth. b. Penn.), living with her mother, Nancy Jewett, 82, b. Penn. (fath. b. Conn.; moth. b. Conn.) Theodore S. Dean, the other administrator of the estate of Mary W. Peck, was a lawyer, aged 34, b. NY, living in Sweden, Brockport, Monroe Co., NY, in 1880.
