a. Note:   h Lutheran Church in 1841: "...George Steyer, Jacob Steyer, John Steyer, Henry Loar, Jacob Loar..." p. 1486 shows "Lydia, wife of George Styer, died Dec. 13, 1867, aged 62."
  History of Western Maryland, p. 1477, reads: "...John Tobias Steyer...was married...to Elizabeth Eckert and had the following children:...George, Dec. 6, 1796, and married to Lydia

  Allegany Co., MD Probate Records: Last Will and Testament of Lydia Steyer, wife of George Steyer, dated 19 Sept 1866; Executors of Will were Jacob Steyer and Joseph Knode. George Steyer affirmed that thewill was made by his wife, Lydia, oath given 21 Jan 1868. No children were mentioned in the will, and any surplus proceeds from sale
 of property were to go to the English Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frostburg, Maryland.
  Allegany Co., MD deed, dated 20 Aug 1869, conveyed an "interest in a certain brick house and lot situated in Frostburg, Allegany Co., MD" from Trustees of the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frostburg, MD to Jacob Steyer."
  Allegany Co., MD deed, dated 5 Sept 1879, conveyed the same property from Jacob Steyer to George Steyer.
