Note: art Twp., Winona Co., Minnesota, in 1870 with his wife Marietta and children, Amos (age 7), Laura (age 4), and Orrin (age 1).
Jesse is supposedly the same b. 6 Nov 1832 in Ontario, Canada, d. 24 May 1921 in Frankfort, Pepin County, Wisconsin, the son on John J. Knapp (1805-1884) and Euinice Demaray (1810-1871). I have long suspected that Amos may be a brother of John J. Knapp, hence an uncle of Jesse.
