Continued: Circumstantial evidence (a connection between a Blacow and Bryning family) stringly suggests we are related somehow to the Blacow family of Poulton Le Fylde, Lancashire, where a Richard Blacow (not the ancestor) was born 26 July 1789, the son of William Blacow and Alice Bryning. boys with the same name: Richard Blacow, son of William, baptized 15 March 1761 at St. Paul in Marton Parish. The same: Richard Blacow, son of William, baptized 15 Mar 1761 at St. Chad in Poulton-le-Fylde Parish. Richard Blacoe, son of James & Alice, baptized Aug 1764 in Kirkham Parish. Richard Blacoe, son of Henry, baptized 8 Sep 1765 at St. John the Baptist in Broughton Parish. The only death or burial record found in Lancashire for a man with a similar name who died around 1790 (+/- 5 years) is: Richard Blackey, buried 22 Feb 1788 at St. John in Liverpool Parish. *** No marriage record has been located for a Richard Blacow and a woman named Ann Fisher (name variations considered, and last names only). Surveys of extant records suggest the ancestors may have been Robert (not Richard) Blacow and Mary (not Ann) Fisher. Robert Blacow (or Blackow) married Mary Fisher on 17 June 1789 in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire. They are likely the parents of Agnes Blacow, baptized 1 December 1793 in Poulton le Fylde and Robert Blacow born on 29 March 1798 and baptized 22 April 1798 in Poulton le Fylde. Likely the same man, Robert Blacow (born abt. 1764) was buried 12 February 1798 in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire. Mary Blacow (likely Robert's widow) married Richard Bryning on 27 May 1800 in Poulton le Fylde, Lancashire.
