Much of the information here compiled on the Grogan and McCrimmon families is from family ephemera, including many old photographs, passed down to my grandmother, Betty Jane (Steinhoff) Sheedy (1923- ), daughter of Eva McCrimmon (1888-1950), from which I was able to do more research.
Some information was corroborated, and a great many details were added by researchers and cousins:
Bonnie Meyer in California who descends from W. H. McCrimmon (1861-1905)
Susanne (Grogan) Killen in California, daughter of Claude A. Grogan (1919-1995)
Lisa Harris in Tucson, Arizona, who descends from one John Grogan, probable brother of Wm. H. Grogan (1798-1887)
Alison Hare in Nepean, Ontario, Canada, who did some genealogy research for Lisa Harris
One invaluable reference is an old chart outlining all known Grogan "cousins" that was compiled by William Edward Grogan (1880-1851), son of Edward and Ella (Daniels) Grogan. A large photo copy was shared with me by Lisa Harris who obtained it from Alice, widow of Claude Allen Gorgan (1919-1995). A digital copy was shared with me by Susanne (Grogan) Killen, daughter of Claude A. & Alice Grogan, and granddaughter of William E. Grogan (1880-1951).
Note:   She was born in "Belfast", Ireland, according to her great-granddaughte
