Note: haps in Ireland, Canada, or near Boston, Mass. She probably died prior to 1874 and did not move to California. Information on Margaret's ancestors and her descendants was given in a small outline by Adele (Steinhoff) Mento (b. 1907). This information was corroborated, and many more details added by an old Grogan family chart shared with me by Lisa Harris and Susanne (Grogan) Killen. Some of the information at least was said to have come from an old family Bible. The old chart outlining all known Grogan "cousins" was compiled by William Edward Grogan (1880-1851), son of Edward and Ella (Daniels) Grogan. **** Margaret McGowan married 1st John or Pat Timmons and had issue (born in Ireland): John Timmons Robert Timmons It is unclear what became of the children by her first marriage.
