a. Note:   f "acute phthisis" (pulmonary tuberculosis), aged 15 years, 7 months, 4 days (from which her birthdate can be calculated to 30 Sept. 1873). She was a resident of Oakland for "14 years". Her father's name is gives and "J. K." and mother as "M. J."
  Her birthdate is given as September 1873 on the old Grogan family chart (which corresponds to the calculated date), but the chart states she died in 1888, which is a year off.
  Maggie's body is buried in Oakland's Mountain View Cemetery. She was the first of the family interned in the McCrimmon plot there. A Photographs of Maggie are in the possession of Betty Jane (Steinhoff) Sheedy. Maggie appeared to be a joyful girl. Cemetery records and her death certificate show her middle initial as "J."; other notes show it as "F."
