Note: He lived in Mt. Pleasant Twp., Scotland Co., MO. Madeline Troyer is related to the Forresters by this marriage. She descends from the Dalton family. Much of the information on Nelson and his family comes from Madeline. She found that the 1880 census states that Nelson Forrester's mother was born say in KY, so there is a little confusion as Mary (Myers) Forrester was born say in North Carolina.
As we see, Nelson married three times. His third wife, Virginia Catherine Skinner was the younger sister of his second wife, Sarah Jane. This Skinner family is no doubt some relation to "our" Skinner family, also of Randolph Co., MO.
Nelson's middle name "Staples" is probably derived from the Staples family who were residents around Glasgow, Barren Co., Kentucky and apparently were neighbors of or knew the Forresters.
