a. Continued:   His father was supposedly the Edward Walker who married first Dorothy ---, and married second Eleanor Hayward. Edward Walker, the father here, stated that he had a son named Edward by his first wife, Dorothy; Eleanor Hayward was the mother of his other children. Other researchers have indicated that the will of Edward Hayward the elder makes this clear; however, it does not appear that Edward Walker (d. 1754) left a will--perhaps his probate record clarifies this detail.
