  Joseph W. Holmes was granted a certificate from Goose Creek MM, VA, to Plainfield MM, Belmont Co., OH, in 1855, "clear to marry Rebecca J. Fawcett."
  They apparently removed back to Goose Creek, Virginia.
  Joseph W. and Rebecca J. Holmes and their first three children were granted certificate to transfer from Goose Creek MM, Loudoun Co., VA (dated 16 Feb. 1865) to Wapisonoc MM, Muscatine Co., IA, where they were received 4 March 1865.
  According to Warne Family in America by George Warne Labaw (1911), p. 366:
 Joseph William Holmes, m. Rebecca Fawcett. They resided in Omaha, Nebraska [c. 1910].
