a. Continued:   Her maiden name is said to be "Carl" or "Karl" according to information on file with the Ohio Genealogical Society. This seems to be correct.
  St. Jacob's records show: Anna Maria Burger, consort of Nicholas, b. 16 January 1740; d. 29 January 1828; age 85y, 13d. However, counting 85 years off 1828, we come to 1743, and so there is a discrepancy. In fact, the birth year given (1740) in the transcribed St. Jacob's records is not correct, for I found Anna Maria Carl in the records of the Longswamp Reformed Church in Berks Co., Pennsylvania with the same birth date in 1743:
