There is some confusion as John Skinner, Jr. lived and died in Boone Co., MO, and is said to have been buried in Bethlehem Cemetery there. His death date is consistently given as 21 March 1840. (Other family researchers state he was buried 5 March 1840 in Madison, KY, which seems to be in error.)
Administration of his estate was granted 15 June 1840, and final settlement was made 18 Nov. 1844 in Boone Co., MO.
