Note: ay have died prior to 1845); his wife died in 1852. They left three orphans: Sarah Elizabeth, Zachariah and Mary C. Forrester. Guardianship was first granted to Samuel W. Harbison who died in 1856, after which George Washington Forrester (their uncle) of Scotland County Missouri became their guardian. Sarah Elizabeth married before Zechariah's estate was finally settled in 1859, and her married name was recorded as "Umphrey" [most likely meaning "Humphrey"].
Barren Co., KY Record Book 2, p. 106 (DATE??):
"Sarah Forrester, infant orphan of Zachariah Forrester, dec'd, being over 14 years of age, came into court and made choice of Samuel W. Harbison to be her guardian, whereupon he together with H. S. Mofs, his security, entered into and acknowledge covenant to the Commonwealth of Kentucky conditioned according to Law."
"Samuel W. Harbison is appointed guardian of Mary and Zachariah Forrester, infant orphans of Zachariah Forrester, dec'd, under 14 years of age, whereupon he, together with H. S. Mofs, his security his security, entered into and acknowledge covenant to the Commonwealth of Kentucky conditioned according to Law."
(Note that Samuel W. Harbison would have been their uncle by marriage, as he was married to their aunt, Mary "Polly" Forrester.)
