An old postcard-type drawing of the substantial "home of Mrs. M. A. Allen of Columbiana Co., OH" is in my possession, found among the personal papers of my great-grandmother, Florence Winona (Phillips) Sheedy. It may have been given to her by her grandmother, Mary (Holmes) Whealen, or acquired from Aunt Mary Allen herself when Florence W. traveled back east through Iowa and Ohio with her Great-Uncle, Joseph Holmes (nephew of Mrs. Mary Allen), to attend finishing school at Sinclairville, NY about 1901-1902. --NMS
