Notes
a. Note:   , Tennessee where he married Narcissa "Narsissus" van Zandt about 1833.
They moved from Tennessee to Mount Pleasant Twp., Scotland Co. MO between 1853 and 1854. (In the 1860 census, their daughter, Nancy L., age 7, was born in TN, while son James, age 6, was born in MO.) The facts that George W. Forrester (1803-1896) was a pioneer of Mount Pleasant Twp., Scotland Co., MO, and also that William was living next to James Forrester in 1860, give credence to the claim that William was their brother. Also, if we look at the birth years of John Forrester's children, there is a wide gap between George W. born 1803 and Martha born about 1823. The children for whom we do not know their birth years would easily fall into that gap of 20 years, including William, born about 1811.
William M. and Narcissa (van Zandt) Forrester had the following children:
Isaac FORRESTER Mary J. FORRESTER Elizabeth FORRESTER Sarah FORRESTER Nancy C. FORRESTER John FORRESTER William Edward FORRESTER Nancy L. FORRESTER James FORRESTER David Whalen Kerr of Portland, Oregon descends from this line.
Note:   William Forrester apparently left Barren Co., Kentucky for Franklin Co.
