Note: 1) John Mead and had four children. She married (2) Samuel Hogue and had five children together. Samuel Hogue was the widower of Elizabeth Holmes, Mary's first cousin, and had four children by her. There was great harmony in the family. Mary (Holmes) Mead Hogue, sometime after her second marriage (about 1828) removed to Belmont Co., Ohio, near the village of Loydsville. Later in life (about 1867) she removed to West Liberty, Iowa where she died and is buried at the Friends' graveyard there.
