Note:   In researching a line of our family (surname Coon), the records indicate an Elizabeth Huddle, born in Virginia about 1781, died Coles County 7 December 1845, age about 64 years, daughter of George and Margaret (Wineman) Huddle, married to Michael Coon in Botetourt County, VA on 26 April 1801.
  According to McTeer, the identity of this Michael Coon's wife is established by the wills of her parents, as probated in Botetourt County, VA. The will of George Huddle, written February 28, 1794, probated in September 1794, bequeathed all property to his widow Margaret during her life or widowhood, then to be sold and the proceeds divided to three children, George, Elizabeth and Christian Huddle, all minors at the time of their father's death. (Botetourt County, VA, Wills, A:376) On June 18, 1795 Margaret (Wineman) Huddle married in Botetourt County Jacob Snyder, by who she had one daughter Eve who married Miles Tenny. (History of the Descendants of John Hottel, 1930 by Rev. W. D. and Lulu May Huddle, p. 663. The will of Margaretta Snider, written November 4, 1837, bequeathed to her children: Eve Tenny, George Huddle's heirs, Christian Huddle and Elizabeth Coon. (Botetourt County, VA, Wills, E:835.
