 George Herman Schukar was born Feb 5, 1881, at Shobonier, Il, to Frederick and Maria Sasse Schukar. Rosina Jacobsmeyer Schukar was born April 2, 1886, to Henry and Matilda (Trampe) Jacobsmeyer of Black Jack, St. Louis Co., Mo. George and Rosina were married at Baden Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Mo., on April 7, 1907. They were the parents of Alvin, born Sept 14, 1913, Ullin, Il., who married Leola Taake, and Ora Louise, born Sept 1, 1918, Pulaski, Il. married to Joe Essex. Two other children, Mabel, 1908, died at 3 months, and Arthur (1911-1914). George and Rosina moved from St. Louis, Mo., to Olmsted, Il, in 1908. They moved from Olmsted to Pulaski, Il, in 1949. George was a farmer. After an illness of four years, for which he received treatments and surgery at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO., George passed away Jan 27, 1957, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, 11 days. Rosina passed away March 28, 1975, at the age of 88 years 11 months 26 days, of heart failure. The Schukar family deceased members are buried at Concord Cemetery, Olmsted, Il.
