a. Note:   Had an uncle Charles Lenz who was with Barney and Anna in Billings, in 1910 census 1910 census in Kaskaskia, Fayette, Illinois, there's a Fred age 48, and his father Wilhelm age 84, both b. Germany
  Billings Gazette, June 15, 1925.-- Mrs. Barney Schukar, who was ill abed last week, is up again and regaining her health.
  Billings Gazette, 11 August 1929 -- Two motorists, Robert B Reld and B.F. Schukar, paid dollar fines in police court Saturday morning when they pleaded guilty before Judge W E Downs to charges of parking overtime in the business district.

  OBIT -- Billings Gazette, 7 Feb 1950 - Resident Dies of Heart Attack Mrs. Anna Mary Schukar of 540 St. John's Avenue, died of a heart attack at 10:30 pm Sunday at her home. She was born Dec 12, 1877, in Germany. She resided in St. Louis, Mo., before coming to Billings in 1909. She was married to Barney Schukar on Dec 3, 1899 at Black Jack, Mo. Besides the widower, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ida Geurernt [Gruenert] of St. Louis. The body is at the Smith Funeral Home.

  Billings Gazette (Billings, Montana) 1950 February 10 -- Services are Conducted for Billings Matron
 Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mary Schukar, 72, wife of Barney F. Schukar of 540 St. John's Avenue, were conducted Thursday at Smith's Chapel with the Rev. Paul M. Freiburger, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Mrs. Schukar died Sunday night at her home. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. Hobert Brunsvold, accompanied by Mrs. Rex Ireland, sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", and "Jerusalem the Golden." Pallbearers were Harold Beeryman, Robert Cornell, John E. Lawson, L. H. Calkin, Henry J. Helb, and Harry Belden. Surviving are the widower and a sister. Burial was in the Mountview Cemetery.
