 The Buffalo Commercial, April 29, 1867 newspaper - New York, April 28 - The new steamer CIMBRIA, from Southhamption the 17th, arrived early this morning.
  In IL census, 1870 in Will Co. Washington Twp, under the name Repe. After living a while in Illinois, they homesteaded in Rusco Twp. At first they lived in a dug-out, later building a frame house. The original copy of the homestead papers were donated to Rails and Trails Museum, Kearney, NE. Mona Houser has a photo-copy. Purchased the "improvements" from Charles Millbrook. On Buff.Co census 1885. p 9B. Em 1868, acc to 1900 census.
 Was his sponsor Peters, the husband of Elisabeth Wolle's oldest half-sister.?

 In the County Court. The accounts and vouchers of Ernest Strit and Christoph Riechman, [Rieckmann], joint administrators of the estate of Josef Bernert, were approved and the administrators released from their trust. Ernest Strit was then appointed the guardian of Emma, Edward [Edmund], Hermino, and Flora Bernert, the minor children of Josef and Anna Bernert, deceased, and to have charge of the estate till the children come of age.

 "[At] the City-archive of Uelzen they have a card-index for quite all of the 6000 emigrants, who left the county of Uelzen. They found following informations:
 1. A Heinrich Christoph Rieckmann from Ebstorf left 1867 for Chicago with his wife, a son and a daughter (both under 14 years old). His profession was given as Tageloehner (day-labourer).

 Christ. Riekmann and wife listed in business meetings and communicant lists at St. Paul, near Grant Park, IL, from 1875 - Easter (March 28) 1880. Minutes of meetings before 1880 were very faint, and illegible, so even though his name was undoubtedly there, I was unable to find it.
  Kearney Daily Hub Wednesday, July 02, 1913 Page: 5 -- Christopher Riekman, a retired farmer living at Riverdale, died this morning at 4:00 o'clock, at the age of 78. the funeral will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran, St. Paul church, in Ruscoe township, at 3:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Imms will have charge of the services.
