The Buffalo Commercial, April 29, 1867 newspaper - New York, April 28 - The new steamer CIMBRIA, from Southhamption the 17th, arrived early this morning. Henry is not shown on the Hamburg Departure List, but his parents and sister Maria are listed. I presume he was with them. Graves are in 2nd row, north side in the Riverdale Cemetery--large head stone. In 1885 school census, Henry Rieckmann, 20, lived in Dist. 39, sec 34, T11, R14. Rieckmann house. Kearney Daily Hub Friday, June 06, 1930 Page: 6 Section: None Henry C . Rieckmann, 67, of Riverdale died yesterday afternoon at his home. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Riverdale Christian Church. Burial will be at Riverdale Cemetery. Henry Christoph Rieckman was born March 24, 1864, in Epsdorf (sic), Hanover, Germany, where he was baptised in the Lutheran church. He came to America with his parents and settled in Illinois. Later they came to Buffalo county, Nebraska, to the vicinity of Riverdale. In 1898 he married Miss Marie Schneider, who preceded him in death three years ago. Mr. Rieckman died Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at the age of 66 years, two months and 12 days. He leaves to mourn his departure one adopted daughter, Mrs. Lena Maul, of Dodge Center, Minnesota, one brother, two sisters and a host of friends. Card of Thanks.
