 Obit from Ida Grove, Iowa. Susan A. Forbes was born at Rockport, Cuyhoyna (sic) county, Ohio, July 7, 1832, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Howard, Friday, May 1, 1903. Deceased was united in marriage to D. W. Forbes at Fulton, Jackson county, Iowa, March 5, 1857, and to them was born nine children, six of whom are living and are: Mrs. John Haskins, Mrs. E.H. Simmons of this city; Mrs. Fred Howard, Omaha, Neb., Charles G. Forbes of DeWitt, Ia.; Elmer E Forbes of Washington, D.C.; Fitz W. Forbes of Chicago, Ill.
 Deceased came to the city about 16 years ago and continued to make this her home until after the death of her husband, since which time she has resided a greater share of the time with her children. She was a noble Christian woman and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances in Ida Grove, all of whom deeply sympathize with the bereaved relatives. The body was brought to this city last Saturday and funeral services were held from the M.E. church last Sunday, Dr. L.H. Woodworth, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Ida Grove cemetery.
