Lammers, 68, of Pleasanton, died Friday evening at a local hospital. Born near Pleasanton, he had farmed in that area all his life. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Frieda, one son, Ruben of Pleasanton, and one daughter Mrs. Edna Nelson, Warren, Ohio, four brothers, Richard of Alta, Ia., Ralph of Pleasanton, Herbert of Riverdale, Henry of Portland, Ore., five sisters, Mrs. Sophie Peters, Barrington, Ill., Mrs. Tillie Wuehler, Cozad, Mrs. Marie Belfrage, Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Frieda Schmidt, Poole, and Mrs. Alma Marshall, Stoughton, Wis.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by the Morgan Funeral Home, Pleasanton. JOHN G. LAMMERS John G. Lammers, son of Amo and Bertha Lammers, was born Dec. 17, 1895. and departed this life in the Good Samaritan Hospital on June 19, 1964, at the age of 68 years, six months and two days. In the past year he endured declining health and underwent several operations. He was a lifelong resident of Buffalo County and active in farming until death. In infancy he was baptized in the Lutheran faith and remained a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church, Pleasanton, Nebr. He was united in marriage to Frieda Mueller on March 16, 1919. To this union two children were born, Ruben and Edna. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Frieda: a son, Ruben of Pleasanton; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Nelson of Warren, Ohio; son-in-law, Richard Nelson and three grandchildren; brothers, Richard of Alta, Ia., Ralph, Pleasanton, Herbert, Riverdale, Henry, Portland, Ore., sisters, Mrs. Sophie Peters, Barrington, Ill., Mrs. Tillie Wuehler, Cozad, Mrs. Marie Belfrage, Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Frieda Schmidt, Poole, and Mrs. Alma Marshall, Stoughton, Wis., and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held June 23 from Grace Lutheran Church at Pleasanton with Pastor John O. Feierabend officiating. Interment was at the Grace Lutheran Cemetery north of Riverdale at the site of the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks for the many acts of kindness shown us during the illness and death of our dear husband and father, John G. Lammers. We especially wish to thank Pastor Feierabend for his words of comfort. Also thanks to all who sent the beautiful floral offerings, the memorial fund offerings, the many sympathy cards, the Ladies Aid, neighbors, relatives and friends for the food they brought, and to everyone who helped in any way.
