  Here's another quote from that 1936 Riverside, IL publication I told you
 about:
 "In 1830 another son of John Forbes, his namesake John and wife Mary Trowbridge Forbes and small son Daniel Webster Forbes came from Preble, N.Y. to
 Ft. Dearborn (aka Chicago). They lived there in a crude house of those early
 days, during the horrors of the Black Hawk War of 1832 and cholera epidemic. In
 1833 John and Mary and Daniel moved from Chicago to Riverside. In 1838 they
 moved further west to the high bluffs on the Mississippi (Jackson Co., IA)." That
 is from my notes and may not be word for word as in the original, but it's
