 Education: attended Immanuel Lutheran School north of Amherst Did housecleaning in the Kearney area before marriage
 Married: Oct. 5, 1940, to Raymond Owen in North Platte; they lived in various towns in Nebraska before moving to Amherst in the 1940s; her husband died in 1959
 Employment: attended beauty school; owned and operated a beauty shop in Amherst; worked at Baldwin Filters, IGA and Sehnert's Bakery; was a bookkeeper for Swan's Furniture and then for Farmer's Union Co-op until she retired.
 She lived in Riverdale for 31 years, moved to the nursing home in Kearney in 2002
 Activities: a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst; enjoyed yard work, gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with family
 Survivors include: son, Raymond Jr. of Kearney; daughter, Judy Dobish of Kearney; brother, Gerhardt Labs of Amherst; sister, Viola Mueller of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; Preceded in death by her husband, and two sisters. Kearney Hub 20 February, 2003
