John Lundy Barnes is buried in the Barnes Cemetery without a headstone. So is his oldest son, Andrew Seth Barnes.
John Lundy Barnes was born 1854 and died about 1889.
Andrew Seth Barnes was born 1879 and died about 1898.
Miles Smith Barnes is my grandfather. He said he was about 3 years old when his father died. He said his brother died of ruptured appendix. They didn't know what it was then, but through later years he found out that his symptoms were exactly as those specified for ruptured appendix. He said he sure did suffer a lot before he died.

Photo attached of his sister, Sarah M. Barnes. She was born 2-23-1861 and died 4-9-1904 in New Boston, Bowie Co., TX. She is buried in Rock Creek Cemetery there.
