"Uncle Sam was a bachelor and frequently would come to our house in Bucksnort and stay a month or so. He had money, but never owned a house to my knowledge and just went from one relative to another. He left a tidy sum of money for those days to my Mother which my parents used to buy their first house in Fordyce in the 1950s after I went away to the U of A."
