 "Doctor Graves (1) was born about 1800 in NC, died between 1870 and 1880 in Blount Co., AL, and was buried in Graves Gap Cem., Blount Co., AL. He was the youngest of the early Graves settlers in Blount Co., AL. He first married Sally Allred, daughter of Thomas Allred and Margaret Alldredge, on 1 March 1819 in Jefferson Co., AL, now Blount Co., AL. She was born about 1801 and died before 15 March 1824 in Blount Co. He married second Lutetia Gatewood on 15 March 1824 in Blount Co., AL; <b>consent given by her guardian, Hezekiah Elliott</b>. She was born 1800-10 in SC, and died between 25 Nov. 1845 and 1847."

  Dallas Co 1860 Census - has a Cynthia Elliott living with them age 26 and a notation saying deaf and dumb.
  Dallas Co 1880 Census HH says that he was born in SC and that his parents were both born in VA.
  HH lost most of his sons to war. William Wilkinson was killed in the Mexican War. John, Johnson Marion, Andrew Jackson, Samuel, and Demarques all died in the 1860's.
