 On the 14th September 1814 Elizabeth aged 6 was a witness in the trial of Mary Riley who was charged and convicted of the stealing of clothes , the property of James Metcalf and his wife Ann ( a mangler of clothes ).
 Elizabeth was living with her stepfather James and mother Ann
