In 1851 James was living with his new wife Agnes in 57 Ironmongers Row City Road St. Luke Old Street Middlesex UK ( at the junction of Wenlock Street ) and was a Hairdresser ( Master ). Also there visiting was Elizabeth Walker born abt 1839 and James Walker born abt 1842 , the children of Agnes from her first marriage. At the time of his marriage to Agnes Walker in 1849 James was a Hairdresser and they were both living in St. Johns Street ( it's still there !! ) Clerkenwell Middlesex UK. In 1846 at the time of his wife Ann's death , James was living in Absolom Row , St.Leonard , Shoreditch. In 1841 James was living with his first wife Ann and son William in Johns Row ( near Ironmongers Row ) St. Lukes Finsbury Middlesex UK. When Harriot was christened in 1827 , James was living in Bermondsey Street Southwark Surrey UK and was a Hairdresser. When Sarah Ann was christened in 1825 James was living in Bermondsey Street Southwark Surrey UK and was a Hairdresser. When Susan Jane was christened in 1823 James was living in Bermondsey Street St.John Horseleydown Southwark Surrey UK and was a Hairdresser. When his first 4 children were baptised James was living in 67 St. Johns Street Clerkenwell Middlesex UK. ( near Smithfield Market ) and was a Hairdresser. On the 6th of August , I sent my little girl with the mangling I had mangled ; the gentlewoman returned them . I heard the child scream , this is my mother's door ; I went out directly; I saw the prisoner running , with the bundle under her arm, and the child running after her. The prisoner dropped the bundle; it was picked up , and given to me , I saw the prisoner with the bundle under her arm. These are the things ; they were in my care ; I had them to mangle. The prisoner called three witnesses , who gave her a good character. GUILTY , aged 16 Confined 14 days in Newgate , fined 1 s. First Middlesex jury , before Mr Recorder.
