Note: Her name on her grave marker is Sara H. Chapman. I have never seen th e H as a middle intial and do not know what it represents.

Monmouth- Sarah Chapman, 92, 215 N. 5th St., died at 9:45 am Saturday ( Jan 2, 1993) in Monmouth Community Memorial Hospital. She was born May 2 1, 1900 in Cave City, KY, the daughter of William A. and Alice Bush Lo gsdon. She married Henry T. Chapman on May 20, 1917 in Hart Co, KY. He d ied Sep 29, 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Parrish, Monmouth and Mabel Heady, W ataga; one son Paul Chapman, Horse Cave, KY; two sisters, Genie Denison , H orse Cave and Esther Wherry, Joy; 12 grandchildren, 37 great grandchil dren and and 24 great-great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death b y one son, one brother and two sisters. She was reared and educated i n Cave City, KY. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Foursquare G ospel Church where she taught Sunday school.
Funeral will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday in Foursquare Gospel Church with the R ev. Chandler West officiating. Visitation will 7 to 8:30 pm today at T urnbull Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Gale sburg. memorials may be made to Foursquare Gospel Church.
