Note: Art served in the Navy, enlisting in 1960. While stationed in Florida h e was injured onboard ship in a non combat accident forcing the amputa tion of his arm at the shoulder. After the return to Knox Co, Illinoi s he worked in the pottery in Abingdon, Illinois. Sep 8, 1961 he was s eriously injured in a forklift accident. His wife gave birth to a dau ghter the same day. He later died from injuries related to the accide nt. He died on his wife's birthday.
