Please also note the variation in his surname spelling Re Vele. He was then a resident of South Charleston, Clark, Ohio and employed as a farmer. Family history indicated that he and Avis married on 25 Dec 1920, the marriage certificate corrected that date to 27 Feb 1920. The following was provided by his daughter Rachel Ellen Revele. Eldon abandoned his children following the death of his first wife Avis. In order to remain free of entanglements he reverted to using the alternative spelling of Reveal. He subsequently married Claire. They had a son Darwin. Darwin may have used an alternate spelling for his last name, Reveal. At the time of his death his trade was that of a machinist. His social security number was 540-10-4298. He died of a myocardial infarction which resulted from a coronary thrombosis and coronary arterioclerosis. He was a veteran. He was buried at Lincoln Memorial, Portland. Darwin Ross Reveal, his son from his second marriage provided the following information. 8 Dec 1997. Eldon had a serious alcohol problem for many years before becoming involved with Alcoholic Anonymous in 1951. From that date forward he never drank again. He also remained firm in his attendance at AA which continued until the very day of his death. He was more than a machinist, he was a tool and die maker. According to Darwin he loved the wor because of the creative, problem solving aspects. He worked in the Los Angeles area for a time in the early 1950's. He lived with his daughter Laura He was old before his time when he died at age 57, his son attributed this to his alcohol addiction. Darwin provided a copy of his father's military records. Eldon served in the US Army from April 24, 1919 until October 23, 1919. He was awarded an Honorable discharge. His service number was 6,248,018. His second wife was Clair Marie. He lived as 117 SW Hall Street, Portland, OR at the time he obtained a social security card; 540-10-4298. Apparently no birth certificate exists for Eldon, Darwin provided a copy of an Affidavit of Birth, dated 1951. Darwin was caucasian.
